Bowling is probably the easiest game for youngsters and they can have enough success to make it fun. Baseball is also pretty simply, but takes a bit older child to get the timing of hitting a ball. Boxing requires two remotes that are strung together on a wire. When you box against someone else, it can be a genuinely strenuous workout! The way the technology works is that the console senses movement. That means that a flick of your wrist can do the trick, but by nature we tend to get our bodies into this sort of exercise. Therefore, it can be very tiring, but very fun. Golf is probably the most technically difficult to manage in terms of swinging power, but it is still simple enough for younger kids to play. Finally, tennis is pretty basic as the console allows you to control both players on a side when playing doubles. However, the game can move pretty fast, so younger children may have trouble keeping up. Overall, the Wii is a tremendous amount of fun and our family has enjoyed it immensely. I can’t wait to see what other games have to offer, but for now Wii Sports has kept us very entertained.
